Healthy boundaries. Definitely setting healthy boundaries.
A couple years ago, I decided it was time for a change. It was at that time I became clear on what I wanted. What relationships I needed to walk away from, and that my truth and happiness meant something to me. It was time to pour into myself what I so lovely poured into others. I needed to love myself first and allow the rest to follow. I was putting a period on people-pleasing and going without what I needed.
Healthy boundaries have allowed me to become more liberated and live fully in my truth. Not being afraid to put a boundary in place and stick to it has allowed me a happier, more peaceful, and fulfilling life. Establishing healthy boundaries has rid me of the people that never met me well and strengthened those bonds with those I’m meant to share my journey with. Having healthy boundaries has led to many benefits, including increased confidence, less stress, my needs being met, improved communication, and more. It is clear from the beginning where I stand and what I expect. Making that small change yielded significant results in every area of my life. I couldn’t be more proud of myself.
I share this part of my journey to encourage any reader who comes across this post. Don’t be afraid to stand up for yourself. Be inspired to make your wants and needs clear to yourself and others. Stand up for yourself. On the other side of fear is a life of excitement and abundance—a life worth living.
